HISTORY

Sometime around 1943 Walter Reimer began operating a single gravel truck in the Didsbury Area. In 1965 he purchased his first Volumetric Mobile Concrete Mixer to add some diversification to the gravel hauling business. As his business continued to grow, and his sons became more involved in the business, the company was incorporated in 1977 as Reimer Concrete Industries Ltd. Reimer was then purchased by Peter Tanasiychuk in 1996. Peter and his son, Josh, changed the name of the company in 2000 to TANAS Concrete. In 2007, Josh Tanasiychuk took over as President of TANAS Concrete. The company has undergone many changes over the years including a shift in 2003 from mainly mobile mixers to the current growing fleet of ready-mix trucks and a few mobile mixers. In 2013 TANAS acquired the assets of LPR Concrete in Three Hills and Drumheller. In 2016 TANAS also acquired the Allison gravel pit in the McDougal Flats area of Sundre which it has been operating since 2010. Then in 2018 TANAS acquired the assets of Pebble Creek Concrete in Linden. In 2021, TANAS Concrete became part of Re-Wa Holdings Ltd.
